Samsung TV remote app for iPhone and Android

EveryRemote works with Samsung smart TVs from 2016 and newer (Tizen), over your home Wi-Fi. No ads, no Samsung account, no subscription.

Coming soon to the App Store and Google Play

How to set it up

  1. Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi as your Samsung TV, and turn the TV on.
  2. Open EveryRemote. Your Samsung TV appears in the list. Tap it.
  3. Your TV asks whether to allow EveryRemote. Choose Allow with your TV remote. You only do this once.
  4. To turn the TV on from your phone later, turn on Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile on the TV. It's already on for most 2018 and newer models.

Good to know

  • No Allow prompt? On the TV, open Settings > General > External Device Manager > Device Connection Manager and turn on Access Notification.
  • To remove EveryRemote's access later, open Device Connection Manager > Device List on the TV.
  • Typing works too: when the TV's search box opens, type on your phone instead.

Questions people ask

Which Samsung TVs work?

Samsung smart TVs from 2016 and newer, including The Frame and Neo QLED models. Older models without Tizen can work through an IR blaster.

Do I need the SmartThings app or a Samsung account?

No. EveryRemote talks to the TV directly over your Wi-Fi.

Why won't my Samsung TV turn on from my phone?

Turn on Power On with Mobile in Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings. Some routers also need the TV to have been on recently.
